Solutions·By Industry·Energy

Energy.

Software for a grid that is being rebuilt while it runs.

The grid was designed for a few big generators and a predictable load. Now it has to absorb renewables, EVs and storage at the edge, and software decides whether that goes smoothly. We built Energynet, a transactive energy operating system where microgrids trade power node by node, and ReDo, a platform that shows a property owner which building is wasting energy before the bill arrives.

How we approach it

Transactive energy and market mechanics, grid and microgrid simulation, meter and telemetry ingestion at scale, building and portfolio energy management, forecasting and optimization, and the reporting a regulator or an auditor can replay.

Transactive energy and market mechanics, grid and microgrid simulation, meter and telemetry ingestion at scale, building and portfolio energy management, forecasting and optimization, and the reporting a regulator or an auditor can replay.

  • Markets instead of central control: nodes that buy and sell their own power
  • Simulation at 100× real time, so the design is tested before the hardware is
  • Meter, location and operational data in one view, with issues flagged before the bill
  • Five years of use-case analysis before the build: hundreds of interactions, mapped

FAQ

Before you ask.

Do you understand the hardware side?
We build the software that survives the hardware: intermittent generation, drifting meters, devices that drop offline mid-transaction. Firmware and power electronics we partner on.
Can you model a market, not just a dashboard?
Yes. Energynet's spot and forward markets, and the simulation that stress-tests them, are the deepest thing we have built in the domain. Pricing, settlement and dispatch are software problems first.
