Driver
Clinical trials, easier to find and act on.
Driver set out to help people with late-stage cancer find clinical trials they could pursue. We created the brand, illustration system, and product experiences for patients and clinicians, with a shared aim: make complex information easier to approach and navigate.

The challenge
Information about clinical trials was scattered, and understanding the available options could be overwhelming. The design needed to support people exploring their care options and clinicians looking for relevant trials, while giving each the detail they needed.
A reassuring first impression
We paired a rounded wordmark with a restrained purple palette, balancing deep and soft tones to make Driver feel approachable and dependable. The same visual language carried through the website, product interfaces, and saliva-kit packaging.

Illustrations translated clinical and administrative subjects into familiar scenes: a consultation room, records, and digital information. We designed them to make unfamiliar steps feel more approachable and give people visual cues alongside the written information.

Making trial information easier to navigate
For clinicians, the mobile interface brought trial search, filters, and availability into one experience. Filters exposed criteria such as cancer type, stage, and prior treatment. Trial listings surfaced key details and slot availability, with individual trial pages providing more information for review.

Keeping information connected
The trial tracker brought trials, institutions, and associated contacts together. Its overview showed trial status, while individual records held related contacts and notes. This gave the team maintaining trial information a shared structure for following the details behind each listing.

Together, the identity, illustrations, and interfaces formed a consistent design system across Driver’s patient-facing materials and clinical tools. The work connected a welcoming introduction to the detailed information needed to explore trial options.
